The Community Connector for rural Ashburton and Selwyn districts contacts isolated residents and connects them to social and community networks that they may not be aware are available to them. Through constant community engagement and building connections with many service organisations in and around rural Ashburton and Selwyn, the Community Connector has a thorough knowledge of the social, recreational and support options in each area. The role’s aim is to link people into these community services, strengthen the links between these services and help build a more connected rural community.
