Lactation Consultation Service

The Community Based Lactation Consultation Service provides specialist support to mothers with complex breastfeeding issues via community-based clinics, home visits, individual appointments, and electronic/telephone follow up as appropriate.

The Lactation Consultants also provide education for General Practice teams, breastfeeding support personnel, and Maori and Pacific providers about the Service, and referral mechanisms.
