Canterbury Health System Alliance Framework

The Canterbury Health System operates in an alliance framework. This means that organisations and leaders across the health system share a joint vision and agree to work together for the people of Canterbury.

The Canterbury Clinical Network (CCN) is the broadest health alliance in New Zealand. Rural Canterbury PHO is a key partner to the Canterbury Clinical Network. Our staff, Board and members sit on many of CCN’s groups, supporting and advocating for rural health while maintaining strong relationships and keeping informed across the health system.

Other partners to the Canterbury Clinical Network include the District Health Board, other Primary Health Organisations, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and community service providers.
