Waimakariri Hurunui Kaikoura Health Promotion Coordination

To implement health promotion activities in the Waimakariri Hurunui Kaikoura Districts and to create linkages within the community, Medical centres, patients and PHO.

Key Components:

• To work with significant partners to meet the needs of Maori and Pacific Islanders
• To support medical practices to deliver the appropriate lifestyle programmes for people identified with risk factors
• To support the Waimakariri District Council Working Party for Physical Activity Strategy
• To provide guidance, resources and assistance for physical activity and healthy eating approaches to schools and early childhood groups
• To identify other initiatives that could benefit from Health Promotion and Services to Improve Access funding
