Waimakariri Health Promotion Coordination

To implement health promotion activities in the Waimakariri District and to create linkages within the community, Medical centres, patients and PHO.

• To work with significant partners to meet the needs of Maori and Pacific Islanders
• To support medical practices to deliver the appropriate lifestyle programmes for people identified with risk factors
• To support the Waimakariri District Council Working Party for Physical Activity Strategy
• To provide guidance, resources and assistance for physical activity and healthy eating approaches to schools and early childhood groups
• To identify other initiatives that could benefit from Health Promotion and Services to Improve Access funding
