PHO Performance Programme

Key Components:

A Ministry of Health initiative to encourage quality improvement in the delivery of evidence based medicine; to encourage access to health services for those most at risk of preventable disease and disability. PHO payments are based on achievement of targets for 10 performance indicators, which include clinical indicator targets, PHO performance indicators, achievement of pharmaceutical and laboratory expenditure targets.
