Youth Brief Intervention Coordinator (YBIC)

Purpose:

To provide psychological strategies to Waimakariri youth (age 13-18) and their families with mild to moderate mental health concerns and link them into relevant community agencies for ongoing help.

Key Components:

Up to 5 free individual sessions with an experienced mental health clinician. GP referral for young people with mild to moderate mental health problems, aged between 13 and 18 years.

Exclusion criteria:

Those under 13 and over 18 years of age; those with severe mental health problems; immediate safety or risk concerns.
Non-enrolled patients in RCPHO.
