Maori Health

RCPHO Maori Health Manager links General Practice, Primary Care Providers and the population, in particular the Maori community.

 

The role also includes

 

 

1. Delivering Treaty of Waitangi and Cultural competency workshops for General Practice
2. Point of contact for General Practice requiring support/advice for Maori and Pacific Island clients
3. Coordinating Primary Care Services to meet with local iwi
4. Coordinating a collaborative approach in delivering health Promotion in rural communities
5. Representing RCPHO on local Maori and Non Maori groups
6. Continually working alongside the wider health sector e.g. CDHB Maori Health manager, Maori health mental health services, primary care services delivering to Maori, Christchurch City, and Partnership Health PHO's
